Research on Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis (NEAT) shows that everyday movement like cleaning, laundry, cooking, and yard work can account for 15–50% of daily energy expenditure depending on lifestyle (Levine, 2003; 2004). 

NEAT science measures the base energy cost of chores, and ChoreFit enhances that by factoring in weighted vests and wrist bands, which increases load and energy expenditure. It’s the first time this “invisible labor” has been reframed as a hybrid of cardio + strength training in a validated, trackable way.

About Me

I’m Stella, the founder of ChoreFit . As a retired environmental analyst, lifelong runner, and now an empty nester, I’ve lived through the juggling act of raising kids, managing a home, and trying to find “extra” time for fitness. The days that I didn't get to the gym or go out for a run felt like a "I did nothing" day.  ChoreFit is here to prove that negative voice in my head wrong. 


My why is personal; it is my way of giving voice to what so many caregivers, homemakers, and busy individuals experience every day: fitness is not separate from life, and it’s already woven into it. My goal is to empower millions of people to see strength in their daily chores and finally give credit where it’s long overdue.
